Education & Outreach Initiative sponsored by Union Savings Bank
Improving the Quality of Life in our Community | We at the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra, as an integral part of our mission, provide innovative education and outreach programs that touch the lives of many in our community. We also partner with local business and other non-profits to help fulfill the RSO mission.
The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra is delighted to provide programming in music appreciation and education through the Ridgefield Public Library. Guest conductors and RSO board member Alexa Donaldson, owner of Sharps & Flats Music Conservatory in Ridgefield present engaging and informative programs prior to concerts.
Ridgefield Senior Gold Card Tickets
The Ridgefield Senior Gold Card is a popular program sponsored by the Senior Positive Initiative Forum (SPIF), a task force that works to meet the needs of the town’s senior population. The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra participates by offering participating seniors ten free tickets to every RSO concert on a first-come, first-served basis. When possible the RSO makes an additional allotment of tickets available to residents of Ballard Green, an independent living community subsidized under the Ridgefield Housing Authority.
The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra enjoys an ongoing relationship with Meadow Ridge retirement community in Redding, CT. From visiting conductors presenting multimedia music appreciation programs prior to concerts, to small ensemble performances, to holding open rehearsals in the auditorium the residents are able to enjoy the RSO musicians and a live music experience in their home environment.
