RSO QUARTET MEMBERS
RSO Quartet members violinists Jorge Avila and Mialtin Zhezha, violist Suzanne Corey-Sahlin, and cellist Nicholas Hardie are the four principal string players of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra. These exceptional musicians have performed with orchestras, in chamber groups, and in recitals worldwide. They come together as a quartet to present marvelous, engaging, and fun performances of classical and contemporary chamber music.

PAST CONCERTS
The RSO Quartet’s 2021, 2022 and 2023 concerts at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum were highly acclaimed – and sold out!
In March of 2023, the Quartet performed for a large audience in Newtown at Edmond Town Hall, receiving rave reviews from patrons for their innovative program and exceptional playing!
In March of 2024, the Quartet performed at the Ridgefield Theater Barn, in an intimate setting to a sold out audience.
Another sold out RSO Quartet performance! The October 2024 performance at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum was inspired by the exhibition Layo Bright: Dawn and Dusk. The program featured pieces by Franz Joseph Haydn, Franz Schubert, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Giacomo Puccini and Teresa Carreño.

Enjoy this selection from the March 2022 RSO Quartet concert at The Aldrich Museum. The musical program – Metaphysical, Celestial, and Transcendent – was inspired by Karla Knight’s exhibition Navigator and included pieces by Schubert, Debussy, Holst, Mozart and Philip Glass.
